Why I'm Blogging

Thank you for visiting this blog I have started. I began it for 3 reasons. The first is so that I can answer any questions and keep everyone updated on my dad's condition. I would also love to have you write on here so that I can show my dad the amount of support and love that my family has had shown to us throughout this experience. Our God is amazing and has blessed us in so many ways I can't even begin to explain. I'm sure my mom will be on here blogging about the many blessings as soon as she can figure out how too! The last reason and the most difficult one is to ask for your help. Unfortunately, my parents have lost their only way to earn money for a while. I wish that my immediate family and myself had enough money to take care of my mom and dad, but we don't. That is why I'm humbly asking for any sort of donation if you can. This will only go to my mom to help pay the bills until my dad is well enough to work again. If you can't donate money, please donate your thoughts so my dad has all your well wishes and jokes to read! Thank you all for the love and support and unceasing prayer!! Our family truely loves and appreciates everyone who has been here for us!

If you want to donate, click on the orange "Donate" button to the left. It's set up through PayPal and is very easy to use. Any money donated is given directly to my mom. If you want to mail money, you can find my parents' address on the left of this page as well. Please email or blog me any questions or problems you have.

I wish that I lived closer so that I could give you the biggest hug ever! I think and pray for you and your family daily and I wish that I could wave a magic wand and make this horrible accident disappear! I dont see you as much as I would like to but know that I love ya and that you and your family are in my heart. Tonight I pray that you will be able to see your Dad 's smile again soon! Love you

  4. I love you Uncle Steve! I pray every day for a quick and speedy recovery. I came to see you yesterday at the Hospital. I did not like seeing you in that condition but I know that you are without pain during this time. I started EMT school last week and am now more than ever glad that I have chosen this path. I will be back to Montgomery as soon as I can and can't wait to see you smile :) I miss you. -Meredith

  7. I wonder, I ask, I scream for the truth. To fall through the cracks of the lost, of the love. All I know my every being, to beg for your life to come creeping in, to be shining through. For every drip, breath, and blood. To be calculated and compensated. I fear for what, I do not hear, and do not know, the life below. To see your angelic eyes of a whimsical morning through a baby’s cries. To love, to fear, to mourn what is here. I beg, I plead, I cry, I bleed. Life I can face but, without you can not. To second guess, the second quest of an orphan heart and a tattered mind to not leave me yet , I curse and spew, the tragedy and loss my feeble heart can handle few. Lord, save my father, for selfish reason may be but, his love, his heart, his wealth, depict me. Shatter those walls and help him breath.

    With all my love,
    Stevie

  8. Shannon,

I am so saddened to hear the news. I will forward this information to my family so your family can be kept in our thoughts and prayers. I wish the pain to subside so your Dad can begin the recovery process and cherish loved ones. Let us know if you need anything at all because we are here for your family.

  9. Steve,

Laurie & I were stunned to hear of the accident. Priscilla called to inform us and related the severity of the injuries! We got to the hospital around 9:30 or 10 pm and met with the family. You had alredy been in surgery of about 3 hours. The staff kept family informed all along the way and were great. We got the sad news around 12 midnight about them having to take the kneecaps.

Priscilla and the girls, along with your mom and Donna were so there for you every minute. I myself was thinking of the time in the future when you get well so I can kick your ass for getting on that roof!!

You and I have always been there for each other and that will not change. Laurie & I will help in any way possible, so don't you worry. You have an abundance of friends and we will be there for you and Priscilla. We Love you and will see you this week.

  11. Hey Steve,
We sure missed you at the lake this weekend. I know you missed walking around with Milton and writing down all the changes!! We visited you in the hospital several times and took care of your family on the 4th. We love you so much and are praying you will fully recover. Shannon is doing a great job keeping us informed of your progress. We're so happy you're becoming more aware. Be patient and know that we all will be there for you and your family. We'll see you again this weekend. Love, Mary and Milton

  13. Steve,

We are praying for you daily and we have enisted our church to do likewise. Our prayer is that you will recover fast and completely, and that your pain will be dimished soon. We were at the hospital right after your accident and expect to be there again the 13th. I hope we can say how much we care for you and what the Lord will do for you.

  14. God is good and God is in the details. Just look at the outpouring of love and support, prayers, and thoughts. I'm about to head off to sleep for the night, but wanted to continue my stream of gratitude to everyone. I have an incomparable family and family of friends!
